Southampton Roads Construction began many years ago by founder, Robert (“Bobby”) Jones.  A native of North Carolina, his family moved here in the early 50’s where his father worked for an asphalt company, thus began the family tradition.  After running the day to day operations for nearly 50 years, he turned the company over to the next generation of the family, and he currently remains in an executive oversight role.

Today the company is a Certified SWAM, whose President is Laura Jones, and Vice President Rob Jones, Jr.  They continue to nurture the decades of established client relationships and have recently expanded in to some new areas of work. The office/equipment yard is located in Virginia Beach, however our crews work on both sides of the water in this market.  The latest technology in application equipment, coupled with a continuing updating in industry improvements, ensures we remain “Best in Class”.
